I believe addiction stems from a temporarily effective solution to address one of life's many problems. When this fleeting strategy fails, we can lose control and find ourselves relying on unstable solutions. Unaddressed problems may include uncomfortable feelings, boredom, financial or relational problems, loss, trauma, or lack of self-acceptance.  Without addressing these underlying problems you cannot address addiction.

I provide strength focused counseling that finds and enhances existing potential. I help clients identify triggers and cravings, high risk situations, create healthy coping strategies, and find ways to prevent relapse. Although sobriety and recovery are often difficult, you owe it to yourself to uncover what type of person you can be without the one-way relationship of addiction.
